Set off not too early as we only had just over 1 hour to drive – result. Expected bad traffice being a Monday morning to find nothing, so arrived at the show ground really early, so no panic. Nigel came by way of another vehicle and bumped into Steph arriving at the show with Maggie so helped them in, realised why we arrived early as it is like a marathon from the car to the entrance to the show ground. Anyway all arrived safe and sound.
First into the ring was Marley, unfortunately the only one in the class, so needless to say won that. Next was Nero who gained a good 4th in a Limit class. Next was Pink getting second in Puppy Bitch. Maggie spent most of her time travelling between the Leonbergers and the Rott ring, so she arrived just in time to see Kenya go into the ring with Nigel to gain a good second place. Last but not least was Mika in Open Bitch. I took her in and she moved like a dream and went on to win the class. the Callenge was next and looking down the line it was difficult to know where it was going to go, but to our amazement Mika won the ticket her 1st CC and to make matter even better Marley went on to win best puppy in breed. What a cracking day.
The group was next and Marley has looked in better coat, and that is being nice about it. Went into the Group ring like a train thanks to Leslie who he seems to have a very soft spot for at the time (she will know what i am talking about) and took Puppy Group 4. Thankfully he took it all in his stride and just wanted to get back to Leslie his new found LOVE.

Well its the weekend, and beautiful sunshine, makes a change from the resent rain , today is a nice and easy day , with Maggie coming over later with Kenya the Leo and here Rottie family for a bathing and grooming session….no rest for the wicked, then Leslie with her girls along with Paul and Kirsty due down this evening for some “light ” solialising and to drop of Zeus for a small holiday at “chez Lionslord” which could involve the visit of a mystery lady !!….Lucky Zeus 
Sunday brings a whole lot more fur !!! with lots of bathing and grooming ………6 Leos I think and my daughter Stephanie’s Rottweiler “Roxy” for a Champ show on Monday in the lovely New Forest in the South of England . I Will be glad to go back to work on Tuesday for a rest

At the weekend we ventured South West to Paighton , with leo’s in tow as well as Lesley and her two, bless her heart she’s done her back in xxx
Our Leonberger breed judge was experienced all rounder Mrs Monica Boggia-Black. Both puppies won their classes with “Pink” picking up the best puppy in breed award….the judge said she just loved her…or was it Nigel’s handling
Our older two Shadow and Delta faired less well on the day both getting 5th 
Shadow’s daughter “Kasha” did much better winning a strong open class and getting the bitch CC , her first !! Many contratulations Richard and Bridgette at Kitarn Leonbergers xx Well done also to Carol Folkes with her male getting his first CC , and going on too take Working Group 2 …great work x

Pluto and Mika are back from there travels all well and good. Got confirmation that Pluto is now an International Champion and a Croatian Champion. they also went into the brace and got BIS – my babies how proud i am of them, so good to have them home!
Split was a great success with 7 X CAC, 3 X CACIB, 4 X BOB, 1 X 3. place in couple, 1 X 2. place in Brace
